Described by Boards Magazine as the “Soulful Surrealist”, Ben portrays experience through unexpected images that are both touching and unsettling. This balance between charm and discomfort, humanity and visual-wonder is the heart of his work.
Ben’s work has been featured in Boards Magazine, Shots Magazine, Stash Magazine, Creativity Magazine, Motionographer, and on countless blogs and festivals around the world. Ben was featured as a Best New Director at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival as part of the Saatchi and Saatchi New Directors’ Showcase and named a Young Gun by the ADC. His promo for the band Beast was nominated for Best Music Video at the Grammys. His holiday Campaign for Samsung garnered a Cannes Lion and he recently directed a VR experience through Wieden and Kennedy for Samsung. He has worked for clients such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, Google, Kellogg’s, Samsung, Unilever and Nintendo to name a few.
Ben’s
favorite films contain images and ideas that come from a personal place
which have been transposed to unexpected visual worlds populated by
charming, unforgettable characters. He wishes to transport audiences to
places that are both familiar but imagined. Ben is currently developing
his first feature film, FoxBlood, a dark thriller. His recent short Marco & Polo Go Round, produced as both an immersive VR experience and a traditional narrative film has been to over 35 festivals worldwide, including Cannes XR, Clermont-Ferrand, Tribeca, Annecy and has garnered top prizes at many of these.
